Your words are powerful, they’re meaningful, and it’s so important. Yet, we all have so many unconscious limiting thoughts that we happen to reaffirm constantly as we move through the world. How often do you find yourself using any of the following phrases:
- “Too much”
- “Can’t afford that”
- “It’s so stressful”
- “Life is so hard”
- “Too expensive”
- “I’m sorry”
- “I’m too ________”
- “It’s too ________”
- “_________ is impossible.”
The more mindful I have become of the world I am intentionally creating for myself, the more I’ve become aware of the limiting phrases that come out of of my own mouth (unintentionally), AND the more aware I become of the words others express that are not only limiting them but at times feel like they’re meant to limit me too.
Your Words Are Powerful
There is an incredible amount of power in our words and we CAN change the vibration of our lives by choosing to remove words that aren’t in line with what we’re trying to experience.
I think money is the easiest example of this although this can work in any category! Many of us want to have ease and flow with our finances- to have enough to pay all our expenses without worrying about what’s in the bank account. And yet when you’re focusing on the lack whether that be the cost, the amount, or evaluating it as negative in some way- then you’re infusing that into your mind’s reality. You’ll only see it for what it is.
What would happen if you made a commitment to choose your words carefully? To stop apologizing when you haven’t done anything wrong. To stop propagating fear around finances, budgets, or the cost of resources. To stop criticizing yourself and instead…. choose words that are more positive or at least neutral!
That is your assignment for the week should you choose to accept it- and of course you’ll have to tune in for a lot more context, encouragement, and inspiration!
Listen in for this week’s episode of The A Bit From Within Podcast which expands on these thoughts and gives great encouragement on how to mindfully pick the words you choose: Choosing Your Words Carefully! Listen below or on Apple Podcasts!
